With so many monthly expenses when running a household it is essential to plan ahead by creating a home budget. Without budgeting you will almost certainly spend more each month than you intended.
Budget Advisor is a home budget software program which makes keeping track of your home budget quick and easy. No more wondering where your money goes each month - Budget Advisor will give you a detailed breakdown of your spending.
You can break up your home budget into different categories, each of which may contain different budget items. You then enter your budgeted expenses for the month to calculate a total monthly budget.
Budget Advisor provides detailed reporting and graphs, breaking down your home budget and comparing what you have budgeted against what you actually spent. This allows you to see whether you have been budgeting effectively.

The program does have graphs showing how your spending changes over time. However the program aims to keep things simple. The level of details you are talking about would make it a much more complicated and specialised program.

I'd be a lot happier if this program allowed me to do charts and graphs showing how various expense amounts, assets, and other balances changed over time. One of my interests is making my more energy efficient. I'd like to do line graphs showing natural gas and electicity consumption relative to several factors, ie, outside and inside temp at diferent times of day, specific effect on consumption of running various appliances for various lengths of time.

I just downloaded this program - I have never used a budgeting program before, but found this one to be very user friendly and comprehensive. I barely had to use the tutorial, but like the fact that it is there since I'm sure that I will eventually come across something that I can't figure out on my own.
I had no problem modifying the titles of the budget sections, which allowed me to personalize it and more accurately and specifically reflect the allocation of our household expenses.
My need is for a budgeting program to help me determine how much money we could set-aside each month. I'm fairly confident that this program will do that - if I am diligent enough with collecting receipts and entering the numbers, it will tell me at the end of the month exactly how much money I should see left over. It will also chart and graph that information, allowing us to see what the household expense breakdown is like - therefore allowing us to monitor, or cut back on specific areas of our monthly spending - and it will keep us 'real' by showing me what our predicted spending was, section by section, versus our actual spending. Reality check!

                Hi,

I'm the author of the program. I won't go into detail here about how to enter multiple incomes into the program. However feel free to contact me as I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. You can contact me at http://www.budgetadvisor.net/support.shtml

Also, in case you haven't seen them already, there are several tutorials in the help file which might help.

I downloaded it because I'm trying to get an idea for how to budget my money. I am not going to purchase the program because I wanted only to get an idea so I could make my own spreadsheet.

I found the variety of categories great, but had trouble entering in the information. I could not figure out how to have multiple incomes across several months.
